As a Diagnostic Radiologic Technologist at MUSC, you have access to state-of-the-art imaging equipment to capture detailed X-ray images assisting in the diagnosis and treatment planning for a wide range of medical conditions across 16 community hospitals, including 3 level 1 trauma centers, and many unique outpatient clinics across South Carolina. Job Description
Performs radiographic procedures at a technical level requiring sound understanding of anatomical positioning and physiology, a high degree of technical competency, and the ability to act with initiative and ingenuity with a minimum of supervision. Apply ionizing radiation for radiologic diagnosis in adult and/or pediatric radiology. Other duties as deemed necessary.
Required License Certification and Registration
Education Graduation from an accredited school of radiologic technology.
Experience 0 to 2 years of modality-specific work experience.
Required Registration Certification must be registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT). If not registered, must obtain the registry within 6 months of hire.
Licensure From the South Carolina Radiation Quality Standards Association is required.
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) required, either a certification from an American Heart Association (AHA) BLS for Healthcare Providers or an AHA-recognized equivalent, or an American Red Cross CPR/AED for Professional Rescuer and Healthcare Provider.
