Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and coordinate daily MRI department activities.
  • Ensure MRI examinations are performed according to physician orders, hospital policies, and imaging protocols.
  • Monitor image quality and patient outcomes to maintain high standards of care.
  • Assist with MRI procedures as needed and maintain clinical competency.
  • Ensure adherence to MRI safety standards and screening procedures.
  • Supervise MRI technologists and support staff.
  • Develop work schedules and manage staffing levels to ensure adequate coverage.
  • Conduct employee orientation, training, mentoring, and performance evaluations.
  • Address employee concerns and implement corrective actions when necessary.
  • Promote teamwork, professionalism, and continuous learning.
  • Maintain compliance with regulatory agencies, accreditation standards, and hospital policies.
  • Oversee quality assurance and quality control programs for MRI equipment and procedures.
  • Monitor department performance indicators and implement improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure accurate documentation and record keeping.
  • Promote exceptional patient service and patient centered care.
  • Ensure proper patient identification, preparations, and safety screening.
  • Respond to patient concerns and resolve service-related issues.
  • Maintain a safe MRI environment in accordance with safety regulations and best practices.
  • Coordinate preventative maintenance and repairs for MRI equipment.
  • Monitor equipment functionality and report operational issues.
  • Assist with budgeting, inventory management, and supply ordering.
  • Participate in strategic planning and departmental meetings.
  • Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, nursing staff, and other departments to improve patient care and workflow efficiency.
  • Completes all mandatory department, educational and hospital requirements
  • Adheres to current Infection Control and Safety Standards
  • Regular and prompt attendance
  • Ability to work schedule as defined and overtime as required
  • Related duties as assigned
Additional Information:

Employees must be in a regular position, working 20 hours or more per week (.50 FTE or greater) to qualify for benefits.

Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent, successful completion of an approved course in Radiologic Technology, and 5 years of experience in conducting routine diagnostic procedures, 3 of which were in advanced modality, as applicable. Required
  • Bachelor's Degree in Radiologic Technology may substitute for up to 1 year of experience in conducting routine diagnostic procedures Preferred
  • Registry with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in Diagnostic Radiology Required
  • Advanced registry is highly preferred an may be required for certain modalities
  • BCLS - Basic Life Support Basic Life Support Upon Hire Required
  • Comparable combination of education and experience may substitute for the above requirements.
