Job Details

We are seeking a Radiologic Technologist / X-Ray Technologist to join an outpatient orthopedic practice in Torrington, CT.

This role is responsible for performing diagnostic X-ray exams, supporting physicians during orthopedic visits and procedures, maintaining image quality, and helping provide a smooth patient experience in a clinic and outpatient surgery center setting.

This is a strong opportunity for an ARRT Radiologic Technologist, X-Ray Tech, Radiology Tech, or Radiographer who enjoys orthopedic imaging, patient care, and a stable daytime schedule.

Responsibilities include:

Perform diagnostic X-ray exams in an outpatient orthopedic setting
Position patients properly and capture high-quality radiographic images
Operate radiographic equipment safely and accurately
Assist physicians with procedures requiring imaging support
Apply radiation safety standards and proper exposure techniques
Maintain sterile field when needed during procedures
Recognize abnormal conditions and communicate appropriately with providers
Document imaging studies and support image storage/reproduction
Protect patient privacy and follow HIPAA standards
Maintain hand hygiene, aseptic technique, and patient safety standards
Support clinic flow and patient care throughout the day

Qualifications:

Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program required
ARRT active or registry eligible required
One year of Radiologic Technologist or X-Ray Technologist experience preferred
Orthopedic, outpatient clinic, or surgery center experience preferred
Strong radiographic positioning and image quality skills
Comfortable working directly with physicians and patients
Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, radiation safety, and imaging documentation
Strong communication and patient care skills
