Radiologic Technologist (X-Ray Tech)
Location: Bronx, NY
Salary: $35 - $45/ hr (DOE)

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled X-Ray Technician to perform radiographic imaging procedures that assist physicians in diagnosing injuries and medical conditions. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, patient-focused, and committed to maintaining high-quality imaging standards while ensuring safety.

Key Responsibilities

• Verify patient identity and review physician orders prior to procedures
• Perform diagnostic X-ray imaging of bones, tissues, and organs
• Explain procedures to patients and address questions or concerns
• Properly position patients, including assisting those with limited mobility
• Ensure minimal radiation exposure using appropriate shielding techniques
• Produce high-quality images to avoid repeat procedures
• Collaborate with radiologists to determine if additional imaging is needed
• Maintain and monitor X-ray equipment functionality
• Report any equipment malfunctions promptly
• Accurately document procedures and maintain patient records

Qualifications

• Associate or bachelor’s degree in radiologic technology (or related field)
• ARRT Certification required
• Active state license
• Proven experience as an X-Ray Technician preferred
• Ability to lift/move patients and stand for extended periods
• Strong attention to detail and technical skills
• Excellent communication and patient care skills
