Job Title: Radiological Technologist-Part Time

Division: Orthopedic Surgery

Work Arrangement: Onsite only

Location: Texas Medical Center, Houston, TX

Salary Range: $28,660 to $33,717

FLSA Status: Nonexempt

Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8 a.m. - 5 p.m.

Summary

The Department of Orthopedic Surgery is seeking an energetic radiological technologist to provide patient care and technical skills in the operation of diagnostic radiographic equipment for diagnostic and evaluation purposes. This position will work on a part-time basis at different locations ( McNair, Sugarland and Vintage).

Job Duties

• Prepares patient for radiographic procedures by reviewing the exam order
• Operates computer and radiographic equipment for image production and documentation of images and performs quality control measures for the purpose of ensuring optimal quality images.
• Quality control is performed on a daily, monthly and quarterly basis, as required for the X-ray machine category
• Prepares patients films for interpretation by radiologist.
• Practices accurate and timely completion of scheduled and unscheduled work to maximize productivity.
• Practices safety measures in radiography and Environment of Care.
• Participates in research projects.
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited radiography program.
• No experience required.
• Certification and Registration as a Radiologic Technologist by the American Registry or Radiologic Technologists (ARRT), and Licensure as a Medical Radiological Technologist or Limited Medical Radiological Technologist by the Texas Medical Board (TMB).

Work Authorization Requirement:

This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States at the time of application and throughout the duration of employment.
