    Academic Pediatric Radiologist

    Freestanding Children's Hospital. Statewide Reach. University of Oklahoma


    Position Highlights:

    • Join a defined Pediatric Radiology section within OU Health's Department of Radiological Sciences a cohesive academic group with shared call and strong resident support, not a fragmented or transient model.
    • Practice at Oklahoma Children's Hospital, the state's only freestanding comprehensive pediatric medical center, on a campus anchored by a Level I pediatric trauma center.
    • 100,000+ pediatric imaging studies annually across CT, MRI, ultrasound, X-ray, fluoroscopy, and image-guided procedures volume and case diversity across every pediatric age group and acuity level.
    • Clinically integrated with pediatrics, pediatric surgery, oncology, NICU, and emergency medicine within Oklahoma's only fully integrated, statewide academic health network real subspecialty collaboration, not isolated reads.
    • Section-based call currently ~1:4 and improving with this hire; strong resident support limits overnight disruption.
    • Daily resident and medical student teaching, with research and leadership involvement supported but not mandated flexibility as your academic interests evolve.

    Compensation & Benefits:

    • Approximately $575,000 base, transitioning to an uncapped wRVU production model transparent framework used consistently across the department.
    • Additional compensation for extra call shifts.
    • $25,000 sign-on bonus.
    • Visa sponsorship available, including H-1B.
    • 9% employer retirement contribution, $5,500 CME allowance, relocation assistance, full malpractice coverage, and 6 weeks PTO in year one.

    Qualifications:

    • Fellowship training in Pediatric Radiology; board-certified or board-eligible.
    • Open to new graduates and experienced faculty.
    • US-trained and international medical graduates considered.
    • Genuine interest in teaching and academic practice; research encouraged but not required.
