UPMC Horizon- Greenville is hiring a Flex full-time Radiology Associate to join their team of outstanding healthcare professionals! As the first impression patients receive upon arrival, the Radiology Associate plays a vital role in ensuring every visit begins with a positive and compassionate experience.
Travel to support both UPMC Horizon-Shenango Valley and UPMC Greenville would be required for this position. This position will work primarily 12PM to 8PM at UPMC Horizon -Shenango Valley and 9AM to 5:30PM at UPMC Greenville with some rotating day shifts at either location. Additionally, this role will work every 4th weekend day shift with no holidays or on call required.

Responsibilities:
- Document images being released to include a released data sheet and mailing if necessary.
- Complete this process in reverse when films are returned.
- Present self in a positive manner reflected by personal attire and etiquette.
- Establish and maintain good rapport and cooperative relationship with medical staff, co-workers, supervisors and others.
- Maintain confidentiality of hospital and department information with no infractions.
- Exhibit integrity, courtesy, and respect for others.
- Employ cost conscience techniques.
- Maintain professional, pleasant and effective communications both internally and externally.
- Complete patient registration for lab and radiology exams. Order lab and radiology procedures.
- Print images or prepare CDs as needed.
- Promote the hospital's image and maintains a positive and helpful attitude toward employees, physicians, visitors, and the community to enhance the hospital's reputation as a health care center.
- Receive patients, answers telephones, prepares patients.
- High school graduate or GED required.
- Courses in typing and office procedures preferred.
- One (1 to two (2 years' experience preferred.
- Must possess good oral and written skills, must be able to communicate with hospital contacts both on the telephone and directly, and effectively communicate with all age groups, populations, and individuals within the hospital.
- Must become familiar with the hospital computer system.
- Access to medications is limited to the distribution of the medication to the nurse.
Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:
- Act 31 Child Abuse Reporting with renewal
- Act 33 with renewal
- Act 34 with renewal
- Act 73 FBI Clearance with renewal
