POSITION: Cath Lab Tech

SCHEDULING DETAILS AND CHARTING
==============================
" Shift hours: 4x10s, 730a-6p, plus call

" Charting: Epic required

" Weekend Requirement: See On-Call

" On Call Requirement: Each clinician is expected to take 7 on-call shifts and 5 late shifts within every 6-week period. One full weekend of call (Fri through Sun) must be scheduled together, while the remaining weekday call shifts (Mon through Thurs) can be taken individually throughout the cycle. One Sat shift for elective cases is also required during each 6-week period. Clinicians must be able to return to the hospital within 30 minutes when called

" RTO, Block & Special Scheduling Requests: ALL requests must be included with the submission.

" Call off Policy: Facility is allowed to call off 1 shift per 2 weeks.

" Holiday Requirement: Must be available to work/take call one holiday per 13-week contract (in rotation with staff)

" Accept First-Time Travelers: No

" Locals Accepted? Yes. If 50-99.9 miles away from facility, approved for one 13 week contract.

REQUIRED LICENSE & CERTIFICATIONS

" ACLS / BLS / ARRT(R) or CCI RCIS

" Pending License Accepted: CCI RCIS- No license required. ARRT (R) - Virginia state license preferred. Any active state license (in hand or pending) is accepted. Virginia will grant emergency authorization to travelers with a license so they can work while their permanent VA license is processing.

REQUIRED CLINICAL SKILLS

" Skilled in cardiac cath lab procedures (LHC, RHC, PCI, PTCA, stent placement, atherectomy, temp pacer, Impella, IABP, TAVR, Watchman, Mitraclip)

" Sterile technique, EKG lead placement, dysrhythmia recognition and interpretation, hemodynamic monitoring, and rapid response protocols

" Experienced in diagnostic/interventional cath lab settings using fluoro

" Knowledge of isolation precautions, equipment handling, and supply management

UNIT DETAILS AND FLOATING

" Serves adult patients; 6 procedure rooms with a daily census of 15 20

" Common diagnoses: coronary artery disease, valve disorders, heart failure, atrial septal defect/patent foramen ovale closures

" Advanced procedures: TAVR, left atrial appendage closures, Cardiomems, thrombectomy, mitral clips, renal denervation, research protocols

" Equipment includes: IABP, Impella, Penumbra, Rotapro, CSI, Shockwave, laser, OCT, IVUS
