• Pay Rate: $51.00 / Hour (USD)
• Shift / Schedule: Day shift, 4 10 hours, 7:00 AM 5:00 PM

Job Summary

This is a DEXA Technologist position (not a DEXA Technician) at a Short Term Acute Care facility in Portland, OR. Bone density exam experience is a hardstop requirement for this job and experience must be current and proficient. Candidates will not be required to perform X-rays. This is a first-timer-eligible role with a reduced Non-Billable Orientation (NBO) of 0 hours versus the standard 40-hour NBO.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform bone density (DEXA) examinations with current and proficient skill
• Operate at a 1:1 patient ratio
• Float between units: Not required

Education Requirements

• Active ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification required
• RT (R) credential through OBMI required
• OBMI (Oregon Board of Medical Imaging) registration required
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
• Note: Candidates do not need a separate DEXA license; active ARRT and RT (R) through OBMI is sufficient

Required Skills

• Current and proficient bone density exam (DEXA) experience hardstop requirement
• Proficiency with Epic charting system
