Radiology / Cardiology/Echo Tech/Cardiac Sonographer

Summary:

• Monday-Friday, no weekends or holidays
• 9:00am-5:00pm (including 45-minute unpaid lunch break)
• Duration: Hard stop 01/17/2027

Responsibilities:

• Perform clinical assessment and diagnostic procedures, explaining tests to patients.
• Conduct 2-dimensional plus M-Mode Echocardiograms with or without Doppler.
• Prepare reports for physicians.
• Operate and maintain computerized and electronic equipment.
• Maintain general and sterile lab supplies.
• Participate in education related to the pediatric residency program.
• Instruct other personnel on clinical and technical parts of cardio echo testing procedures.
• Participate in cross-training.
• Attend lectures and meetings; stay updated on current developments in the field.
• Identify patients, evaluate for medical precautions, and review patient cases with physicians as needed.
• Review data results of tests and report results as per hospital policy and procedures.
• Review questionable results with physician-in-charge prior to release.
• Assist with records and preparation of monthly statistics.
• Maintain all equipment and materials in compliance with hospital policy; ensure orderly and safe laboratory area.
• Assist with maintenance of stock and supply inventory.
• Schedule patient tests.
• Assist with supervisory duties in the absence of senior personnel.
• Perform other special projects and duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• High School diploma or GED.
• Graduate of an accredited program in Ultrasound Technology.
• Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) from ARDMS.
• Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) from ARDMS.
• BCLS certification.
• Minimum 1 year of related experience.

• Locals preferred; mileage radius is 75 miles from the facility.
