Title: Interventional Radiology Technologist (IR Tech)
Location: Baltimore, Maryland
Duration: 14 Weeks (Start Date: 03/30/2026)
Shift: Day Shift 4x10 Hours (7:30 AM 5:00 PM); call required (weeknights, weekends, and holidays)
Job Responsibilities
- Perform angiographic and interventional radiology procedures using prescribed techniques while ensuring patient safety.
- Assist physicians during a wide range of interventional, vascular, neurological, and diagnostic procedures.
- Maintain sterile technique and scrub during interventional procedures.
- Provide support for daily operations within the interventional radiology department.
- Monitor patient condition during procedures, including hemodynamic monitoring and EKG lead placement.
- Ensure accurate documentation and imaging workflow using PACS and EMR systems.
- Maintain patient safety standards in alignment with national patient safety goals.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes and efficient workflow.
- Provide high-level patient care while ensuring a safe environment for patients, staff, and visitors.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of Interventional Radiology experience required.
- Neuro interventional experience required.
- Vascular interventional experience required.
- Scrub experience required.
- ARRT (R) certification required.
- BLS certification required.
- Active Maryland state license required prior to start (pending license accepted at submission but must be active before start).
- Ability to perform procedures independently without direct supervision.
- Must live within 45 minutes of the facility for call-back coverage.
- Experience with hemodynamic monitoring, stroke-related procedures, and neuro interventional radiology (NIR).
- Experience with nephrograms, kyphoplasty, peripheral interventions, and biopsies.
- Ability to start IVs and perform phlebotomy.
