  • Position Type: Contract
  • Contract Duration: 3 months
  • Pay Rate: $75.00 / Hour (USD)
  • Shift / Schedule: 8-hour days, 7:30 AM 4:00 PM (Day Shift)

Job Summary

This is a combo lab (IR/Cardiology/Vascular/EP) position with an approximate 80%/10% split IR accounting for 80% and other procedure types accounting for 10%. The role involves assisting the provider while performing diagnostic and interventional radiology and cardiology procedures. Techs in this unit start directly on the unit on Mondays until they have completed their Dimensions Training. The unit accepts contracts ranging from 13 to 20 weeks, and 40 hours per week can be offered.

Key Responsibilities

  • Scrub and circulate IR/Cath Lab procedures and cardiology procedures
  • Assist the provider while performing diagnostic and interventional radiology and cardiology procedures
  • Expect urgent and emergent cardiology and interventional radiology procedures
  • Respond to STEMI callbacks within 30 minutes; IR callback time is determined based on procedure type
  • Perform call duties as required; call team consists of three staff members, one of whom is an RN
  • Operate and utilize specialized equipment including Client MAC Lab, Philips iFR/IVUS, Canon and Client Labs, Angio Jet, Penumbra, EKOS, Inari, CSI Atherectomy System, Bovi System for Implanta Plasma Blade Cutter, Radiofrequency Ablation Unit, Venous Closure Unit, Sono Site, S2000 Ultrasound Unit, IABP, and Impella
  • Work with patient age groups including adults and geriatrics
  • Work with patient diagnoses including Vice Implants: PPM and ICD

Required Skills

  • Must have IR experience 90% of procedures are IR

Preferred Skills

  • Perform EKG lead placement

Education Requirements

  • ACLS certification required
  • BCLS certification required
  • ARRT or RCIS certification required
  • ARRT Advanced Certification preferred
  • RCES preferred
  • RCIS with Med Experience preferred

Required Experience

  • Minimum 2 years of experience required
  • Traveler experience: not required
  • Locals accepted

Work Environment / Physical Requirements

  • Call Requirement: Minimum 7 call days per month

- Typical Schedule: Two call days per week for two weeks each month; one call weekend per month - Additional coverage may be required to meet departmental needs; this is rotated equitably among all staff members

  • Float Requirement: None
  • Weekend Requirement: Every third weekend
  • Scheduling Type: Per unit needs
  • No holiday RTO for this role
  • Scrubs are provided
  • Flu vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions only)

Important Notes

  • RTO after booking is NOT allowed and is NOT allowed to be worked out onsite. Any call-offs or additional RTO on unit could possibly result in a contract cancellation and DNR (Do Not Rehire).
  • Techs start directly on the unit on Mondays until they have completed their Dimensions Training.
  • Medication administration is performed by RN only.
  • Unit orientation: 40 hours (40 80 hours).
  • Interview availability: Please provide your candidate's interview availability for the next 72 hours when submitting. The manager will NOT extend an offer without first speaking to or interviewing the candidate.
  • No holiday RTO is permitted for this role.
