Contract Details

  • Position Type: Contract (Travel/Allied)
  • Contract Duration: 3 months
  • Pay Rate: $65.00 / Hour (USD)
  • Shift / Schedule: Day shift alternating 07:00 15:30 and 09:00 17:30 (5 8-hour shifts); 40 hours per week offered
  • Work Authorization: Applicants must be authorized to work for ANY employer in the U.S. We are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa at this time.

Job Summary

This is a travel Allied Health contract position for an MRI Tech in an Adult Outpatient Radiology/Cardiology setting. The role is based in a clinic environment with a focus on spine patients (adults and geriatrics) and involves operating Philips Ingenia 1.5T MRI units within an EPIC-based system. Scheduling is per clinic needs, and travelers must maintain full availability including accommodation of schedule changes during orientation week. First-time travelers will not be accepted for this assignment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform MRI studies on adult and geriatric patients in an outpatient clinic setting
  • Apply musculoskeletal imaging skills, specifically for hip/bony pelvis and knee
  • Perform spinal MRI imaging covering cervical, lumbar, sacrum/coccyx, and thoracic regions
  • Prepare and/or administer contrast media as required
  • Operate Philips Ingenia 1.5T MRI units and utilize PACS system (Visage)
  • Document and manage patient imaging within EPIC (required)
  • Adhere to clinic scheduling needs and maintain availability per the facility's schedule
  • Comply with all orientation requirements; missing any portion of orientation may result in a delayed or canceled start
  • Adhere to all RTO, float, and call policies as defined for this assignment

Required Skills

  • Minimum 3 years of MRI Tech experience (required)
  • Previous travel experience required first-time travelers will not be accepted
  • Work setting: Adult Outpatient experience required
  • Musculoskeletal skills: Hip/bony pelvis and knee imaging required
  • Spine skills: Cervical, lumbar, sacrum/coccyx, and thoracic imaging required
  • Preparation and/or administration of contrast media required
  • Proficiency with EPIC (required)
  • PACS experience (Visage)
  • Familiarity with Philips Ingenia 1.5T MRI units

Preferred Skills

  • Radiation Safety knowledge
  • Ability to start peripheral IVs

Education Requirements

  • BLS certification required
  • ARRT (MR) certification required

Required Experience

  • Minimum 3 years of MRI Tech experience required
  • Prior travel assignment experience required (clinic will not accept first-time travelers)

  • Scrubs: Not provided Navy Blue required
  • Flu vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions only)

Important Notes

  • RTO (Return to Origin) after booking is NOT allowed and is NOT allowed to be worked out onsite. Any call-offs or additional RTO on unit could result in a contract cancellation and DNR (Do Not Rehire).
  • The expected start date is based on the facility's schedule but is subject to change depending on class and trainer availability. Travelers may start on Wednesday, Thursday, or Friday of the first week and must be fully available with no other commitments to accommodate any schedule changes.
  • Missing any portion of orientation may result in a delayed or canceled start.
  • The facility will confirm the final start date on the Tuesday prior to the start week.
  • Locals accepted (rate difference applies).
  • RTO maximum: 7 days for AYA Auto Offer positions.
