Job Summary : We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join a leading academic medical center. This role involves performing a variety of diagnostic nuclear medicine procedures for patients across all age groups, utilizing advanced imaging technologies and adhering to high clinical standards.
Key Responsibilities
Perform nuclear medicine imaging procedures including:
Bone scans, brain scans, liver, renal, and lung imaging
Cardiac stress testing (pharmacologic and exercise-based)
PET scans, MUGA scans, HIDA scans, gastric emptying studies
Administer radiopharmaceuticals safely and accurately
Conduct SPECT imaging and nuclear cardiology procedures
Start and maintain IV lines; perform venipuncture
Ensure patient safety, comfort, and proper positioning during procedures
Follow radiation safety protocols and infection control guidelines
Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, and interdisciplinary teams
Maintain accurate documentation using Epic charting system
Requirements Experience: Minimum 2 years of Nuclear Medicine experience
Certifications Required:
ARRT (N)
CNMT or NMTCB
BLS (AHA only)
License: Active Maryland State License (required at submission)
Strong experience in nuclear cardiology and general nuclear medicine procedures
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced hospital setting
