  • Pay Rate: $78.00 / Hour (USD)
  • Shift / Schedule: Day shift, 5x8 Hours; Orientation shifts: 0800 1630 (likely first two weeks); Optional call shifts: M F 0430 2200, Sat Sun 0600 2200 (60-minute response time not required)
  • Travel Requirements: Local radius is 50 miles

Job Summary

This is a Nuclear Medicine Tech travel/contract position at an Acute Care Hospital (MAGNET-designated facility) with 426 staffed beds. This is a reduced Non-Billable Orientation (NBO) role 0 hours NBO versus the standard 40 hours NBO. The clinician will be expected to perform PET scans; prior PET experience is preferred, but the facility is willing to train on site. A minimum of 2 years of experience is required, and first-time travelers will not be considered (screening accepted if the candidate has at least 2 years of experience). Scheduling requests due to outside employment will not be considered.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform nuclear medicine imaging procedures, including PET scans
  • Adhere to a 5x8 Monday Friday schedule with no weekends or holidays required
  • Participate in optional on-call shifts if interested (M F 0430 2200, Sat Sun 0600 2200), with a 60-minute response time
  • Complete orientation shifts (0800 1630, likely first two weeks)
  • Follow facility protocols for charting using Epic

Required Skills

  • Minimum 2 years of experience as a Nuclear Medicine Tech
  • Ability and willingness to perform PET scans (prior experience preferred; on-site training available)
  • No first-time travelers must have at least 2 years of clinical experience
  • Availability to work a Monday Friday schedule with no weekends or holidays
  • RTO (requested time off) must be included at time of submission
  • Scheduling requests due to outside employment will not be considered
  • Pending license not accepted active licensure required at time of submission

Education Requirements

  • BLS certification required
  • NMTCB (Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board) certification required ARRT (with nuclear medicine specialty) also accepted
  • CA State License required (active; pending license not accepted)

Required Experience

  • Minimum 2 years of Nuclear Medicine Tech experience required
  • Prior experience with PET scans preferred; on-site training available for qualified candidates
  • First-time travelers not accepted; candidates must have at least 2 years of experience to be screened
