PET Tech for cancer center serving adults and geriatric patients. 3 years PET experience REQUIRED. Experience with Client Equipment REQUIRED. Average daily census of 15-18 across 3 rooms. Typically Mon-Fri schedule with Saturdays as needed. On call optional/as needed. EPIC documentation, SBAR communication, and provider support including pharmacy, radiology, and rapid response teams. Scrubs required (not provided), any color OK (no patterns/logos). 1st time traveler OK.

PET Tech will be responsible and accountable for patient assessment relative to the performance of NM and PET procedures, promotion of radiation safety, demonstration of safe and effective patient care, and preparation of radiopharmaceuticals and the performance of scanning procedures for both in-patients and out-patients, working under the direct supervision of a Board-Certified Radiologist.

Certifications REQUIRED: BLS, CNMT, ARRT or NMTCB, State License (IL), and graduate of Nuclear Med program.

Skills/Experience REQUIRED: Adult/Hospital setting; Client equipment; HIDA Scan; PET scan; Isolation precautions; Start and maintain Peripheral IV; Storing/Handling/Disposal of Radioactive Materials

Skills/Experience Preferred: Siemens equipment; Gastric Emptying; Muga Scan; Bone Scan (3 Phase, Limited, Whole Body); Liver Imaging; SPECT (Bone, Brain)
