Job Duties:

• Perform routine and specialized radiation treatments per physician's treatment plan.
• Work independently using clinical skills for safe, precise procedures.
• Build confidence and cooperation with patients and healthcare providers through effective communication.
• Adhere to regulations to ensure privacy and safety in patient care.
• Perform specific procedures and orient staff to the department.

Job Accountabilities:

• Execute radiation therapy and simulation procedures according to policy.
• Maintain and operate radiation therapy equipment, document readings, and manage adjustments or repairs.
• Complete tasks within departmental time frames.
• Assist physicians in radiation therapy and simulation procedures.
• Educate patients on procedures to alleviate fear and anxiety.
• Mentor students and new therapists to build confidence in their skills.

Clerical:

• Perform clerical tasks, such as phone management and patient appointment updates.
• Document patient information, procedures, and exam charges accurately.
• Manage inventory and order supplies to maintain stock levels.

Safety:

• Implement protection devices and safety standards to minimize radiation exposure.
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment, including equipment disinfection.
• Inspect and calibrate equipment, record QC results, and report malfunctions.
