• Shift / Schedule: Monday Friday, 7:45 AM 4:30 PM (Day shift, 5x8 hours); 45-minute meal break included

Job Summary

This is a contract Ultrasound Tech General position focused on OB/GYN patients, performing level 1 OB scans and GYN scans. The candidate must be a registered diagnostic medical sonographer. The scheduling type is per clinic needs, and the unit utilizes the EPIC system.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform level 1 OB scans and GYN scans for OB/GYN patients
• Operate within a high-risk OB and outpatient clinic setting
• Utilize EPIC as the unit system for documentation and patient management
• Float as required per unit needs
• Report to work during catastrophic events, mass casualty incidents, or disasters as part of Storm Team and/or Hurricane Team assignments
• Adapt to potential mid-contract consolidation to a centralized office, with possible preassignment to units as needed

• OB/GYN Skills: 1st, 2nd & 3rd Trimester, Amniotic Fluid Index, Fetal Anatomical Survey & Placenta Previa
• Neonatal Skills: Bone lengths, Cerebellum, Ventricles, Head & Heart
• Renal/Pelvis Skills: Bladder, Hernia, Ovaries, Prostate, Renal/Bladder, Uterus & Vaginal
• Minimum 2 years of experience required
• First-time travelers accepted
• Local candidates accepted

Preferred Skills

• OB/GYN Skills: Nuchal Translucency Screen

Education Requirements

• ARDMS (American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography) Required
• ARDMS OB/GYN Required
• BLS (Basic Life Support) Required
• Must be a registered diagnostic medical sonographer
• ARDMS FE Preferred
• NT (Nuchal Translucency) certification Preferred

Required Experience

• Minimum 2 years of sonography experience required
• Experience in Obstetrics & Gynecology required

Work Environment / Physical Requirements

• Shift: Monday Friday, 7:45 AM 4:30 PM; 45-minute meal break
• Call requirement: None
• Float requirement: Yes
• Weekend requirement: None
• Scheduling type: Per clinic needs
• Scrubs: Not provided; any color acceptable
• Contract staff will be assigned and expected to work a Storm Team and/or Hurricane Team; may be required to report to work during a catastrophic event, mass casualty, or disaster
• Consolidation to a centralized office mid-contract may occur; contract staff may be preassigned to units as needed
• Flu vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions only)

Important Notes

• RTO (Return to Origin) after booking is not allowed and is not allowed to be worked out onsite. Any call-offs or additional RTO on unit could possibly result in contract cancellation and DNR (Do Not Rehire).
• Please provide interview availability for the next 72 hours when submitting; the manager will not extend an offer without first speaking with or interviewing the candidate.
