Job Title: X-Ray Technologist (Radiographer) Diagnostic Imaging
Location: Baltimore,MD
Facility: University of Maryland Medical Center Downtown
Contract Duration: 13 Weeks
Start Date: May 11, 2026
Shift: Night Shift 3x12 Hours (7:00 PM 7:30 AM)|EOW
Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and reliable X-Ray Technologist to join the Diagnostic Imaging team. The technologist will perform a wide range of radiographic procedures across diverse patient populations, ensuring high-quality imaging while maintaining patient safety and comfort. This role requires flexibility, strong technical expertise, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment.
Key Responsibilities
Perform diagnostic X-ray procedures for patients ranging from neonates to geriatrics
Operate imaging equipment including portable machines and C-arm systems
Conduct bedside/portable imaging as required
Ensure adherence to radiation safety and infection control protocols
Position patients correctly to obtain optimal imaging results
Collaborate with physicians and healthcare teams for accurate diagnosis
Maintain accurate patient records using PACS systems
Float between units and affiliated facilities as needed
Participate in weekend and holiday rotations as scheduled
Required Qualifications
Experience: Minimum 1 year of X-Ray/Diagnostic Imaging experience
Certifications:
ARRT (R) Registered Radiologic Technologist
BLS (AHA)
License: Active Maryland State License or Compact License at time of submission
