    Summary Description:

    Under limited supervision, coordinates RadNet system activities, including developing and submitting for approval operational and contingency RadNet downtime policies and procedures. Works closely with users, ISD, Finance, Billing and Corporate Compliance, as well as all DMC Radiology personnel on Radiology-related issues. Prepares and maintains training manuals for RadNet. Trains Radiology staff on new HCFA rules, i.e., modifiers, codes, medical necessity, APC's,etc. affecting employees and physicians. Provides ongoing research of HCFA changes for dissemination to Radiology directors/Physicians/SuperUsers. Develops indicators and conducts quality improvement of computer-related activities. Monitors quality and efficiency of RadNet-related processes and implements procedures to correct deficiencies. Develops and recommends system improvements and backup procedures for RadNet. Collects, analyzes and reports statistical data. Prepares, maintains and updates RadNet Policies and Procedures. Responsible for Radiology billing issues from Cerner to SMS. Attends various Compliance, Coding, APC and Radiology user-groups meetings. Receives, critiques and forwards to appropriate IS/SMS individuals, information received from all Radiology Departments relating to CDM changes, as well as general maintenance of all Radiology CDM's.     Qualifications:

    1. Associate's degree in a related technical or administrative discipline or equivalent combination of education and experience. Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science/Management Information Systems preferred. 2. Two or more years of progressively more responsible technical experience with Radiology Information Systems and HCFA rules and regulations. 3. Strong understanding of automated information systems applications. [BRASSRING IMPORT 11/7/16]
