Description

Locum provider will read plain films & CT’s, concentrating most on STAT’s from the ER. Can choose to read Ultrasound or MRI, but not required. Volume expectancy is as much as the radiologist can complete in a day, usually between 50 & 90 exams. No Procedures, no fluoro, and no mammo. We have GE PACS with Powerscribe dictation and Epic EMR.

 

The workday is 7am – 4pm, The coverage is predominately ER STATS. The radiologist is never alone. There are always between 1 and 3 other radiologists here.   No Call, No Weekends

 

 The job is from 7:00 AM till 4:00 PM with a 30-minute unpaid lunch so we will pay Regular rate for 8.5 hrs and OT after 4pm.

 

This is a Onsite position. NOT Remote

 

The ideal candidate will

  • Hold and active IN license
  • Be fully credentialed with locum agency
  • Have zero NPDB concerns

  • Drive in Candidate
  • Be available for multiple assignments

Provider also needs to attend in person Orientation (7.30 am to 5pm) preferably Friday before the Monday Start (or within 2 weeks before the start date)

 

Clarification-The locums coverage is mostly ER reads and anything the radiologist would like to pick up. Diagnostic films, CT, and ultrasound. No MRI or nukes required. The only Neuro required is stat CT heads and CT spines from the ER, no MRI required. There is no opportunity for IR procedures.

 

 

 


Candidate Requirements
Active IN State License or IMLC. Board Status: Board Certified or Board Eligible (Certification must be obtained within 5 years of residency). Minimum Years Experience (if applicable): More than 2 years Flu vaccination: Required or Need Medical or religious exemption. Covid vaccination: Required or Need Medical or religious exemption. Certifications: BLS – Required for all specialties. This job requires candidates to enter their hours in the Vemsta platform. Order entry is expected to be completed by locum provider.
