Job Overview We are seeking an experienced Radiology Director to provide strategic and operational leadership for a hospital-based imaging department. The Director will oversee daily departmental operations, staff performance, budgeting, regulatory compliance, and quality initiatives while ensuring exceptional patient care and efficient imaging services.
This leadership opportunity is ideal for an experienced imaging professional with a strong clinical background and proven management experience in a hospital setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide overall leadership and supervision of the Radiology Department.
- Direct daily operations to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality imaging services.
- Recruit, mentor, evaluate, and manage departmental staff, including hiring, coaching, disciplinary actions, and performance management.
- Develop and manage annual operating and capital budgets.
- Monitor departmental performance and implement process improvements.
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies, regulatory requirements, and accreditation standards.
- Identify operational challenges and implement effective solutions.
- Delegate responsibilities appropriately while maintaining professional and legal standards.
- Educate and mentor staff on departmental policies, procedures, and best practices.
- Establish and monitor internal controls to ensure departmental compliance.
- Collaborate with hospital leadership to achieve organizational goals.
- Perform additional leadership duties as assigned.
Requirements Required
- Graduate of an accredited Imaging Program.
- Minimum 5 years of technical imaging experience.
- Minimum 2 years of imaging management or leadership experience.
- Current BLS Certification.
- Current American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification.
- Current state radiology license, if required.
Preferred - Bachelor's or Master's degree.
- Certified Radiology Administrator (CRA) credential.
