The Radiology Imaging Coordinator is responsible for ensuring that patients receive quality and comprehensive coordinated services as directed. Position will be responsible for coordinating and scheduling biopsies and other invasive procedures accurately and in a timely manner in support of our clinical operation. The scope of this work includes: facilitating scheduling for patients, medical records, faxing/emailing, confirming contact information, providing directions and appointment related specifics, Epic documentation data collection and other duties as assigned. The Coordinator provides care coordination to patients with the goal of overcoming potential or realized barriers to care, providing education and resources to facilitate timely delivery of services, and improving patient outcomes. Their clinical experience will ensure optimal patient, radiologist and technologist flow amongst the Mammography, Ultrasound, CT, Nuclear Medicine, and MRI departments. The Coordinator collaborates with the multidisciplinary team as an advocate for inpatients and outpatients across the continuum of care, building relationships, and supporting patients. Serves as a liaison throughout the facility and in the community regarding services provided for the patient population.
