Job Title: Radiology Interventional Technologist / Special Procedure Tech
Location: Portland, Oregon
Work Model: Onsite – Hospital Setting
Job Type: Full-Time / Day Shift
The ideal candidate will possess strong radiologic technology experience, cardiovascular/interventional procedural support expertise, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced patient-focused environment. This role supports advanced interventional procedures including STEMI, stroke intervention, embolization, thrombectomy, and interventional oncology treatments.
Key Responsibilities
Cardiovascular & Interventional Procedure Support
  • Provide cardiovascular and radiologic care to patients for diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.
  • Operate Philips fluoroscopy units during cardiovascular and interventional procedures.
  • Assist physicians during:
    • Cardiac catheterization procedures
    • Interventional radiology procedures
    • Stroke interventions
    • Thrombectomy procedures
    • Embolization procedures
  • Set up and operate specialized interventional equipment including:
    • IVUS
    • OCT
    • Rotoblator
    • Shockwave
    • Laser atherectomy systems
    • Penumbra
    • AngioJet
    • Inari thrombectomy systems
Patient Care & Clinical Support
  • Provide compassionate patient-centered care during high-acuity procedures.
  • Monitor patient condition and procedural safety throughout interventions.
  • Support emergency and STEMI workflows.
  • Assist with circulating duties during procedures.
Radiation Safety & Equipment Management
  • Monitor and maintain radiation safety standards during procedures.
  • Ensure proper setup, operation, and maintenance of procedural equipment.
  • Maintain compliance with safety, regulatory, and quality standards.
Team Collaboration & Continuous Improvement
  • Collaborate closely with physicians, RNs, and interdisciplinary CVL teams.
  • Participate in workflow and process improvement initiatives.
  • Support high-quality outcomes and patient throughput initiatives.
  • Contribute to a collaborative and patient-focused team environment.

Experience
  • Experience supporting cardiovascular or interventional radiology procedures preferred.
  • Ability to work effectively in fast-paced acute care environments.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in:
    • Cardiac Cath Lab
    • Special Procedures Lab
    • Interventional Radiology
  • Experience with:
    • STEMI programs
    • Stroke interventions
    • Interventional oncology
    • Thrombectomy equipment
  • Experience circulating during interventional procedures.
Work Environment
  • Full-time onsite hospital role in Portland, OR.
  • Day shift cardiovascular/interventional procedural environment.
  • Fast-paced acute care and interventional treatment setting.
