Management
Resolves team conflict. Applies team building skills. Radiology
Performs proper billing/ charging with hospital computer systems. Uses radiology equipment properly and efficiently. Proficiency with general operating procedure i.e. start up procedures, calibration of equipment, troubleshooting, QC, preventative maintenance, malfunctioning equipment and problem solving. Maintains appropriate communication with radiologists and staff. In-depth knowledge of human anatomy, proper patient positioning and good technical judgment. Adequate assessment and explanation of procedure to patient before testing occurs. Assists in ongoing monitoring and evaluation of the appropriateness and effectiveness of patient care.

Problem Solving
Identifies, proposes solutions, and assists in implementation of ideas for improvements in patient care and department/hospital operations. Functions as a patient advocate. Participates in the successful implementation of changes.
Personal Performance
Educates and mentors staff and acts as resource person on unit and elsewhere in hospital. Maintains personal clinical skills and professional competence; demonstrates high level clinical decision making ability. Completes projects/assignments as requested by director. Single or multi-department management of operations. Manages day to day operations. Directs, supervises, orients/trains and evaluates staff. Enforces policies, procedures and standards of operation. Position has budgetary or fiscal accountability.
Diagnostic Imaging Clinical Manager
The Diagnostic Imaging Clinical Manager performs and demonstrates proficiency and understanding of all areas of the radiology department as well as instructing and mentoring other personnel. They also perform with perceptive depth radiology procedures requiring the expertise of independent judgment and responsibility. They assure the highest degree of quality patient care is maintained at all times and ensure smooth operation of the department. Position is responsible for approving timekeeping, employee evaluation, meeting applicable regulatory standards, approving supply orders and department strategic planning.
Special Skills
Good verbal and written communication skills necessary to understand oral and written instructions stated in radiological and medical terms and to exchange information with patients and staff. Ability to effectively communicate, written and verbal skills.
Minimum Requirements
Experience: Five years radiology experience and two years supervisory experience. Education: Completion of JRCERT approved formal program in Radiologic Technology. Certifications: Current Arizona Registered Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) and Certified Radiology Tech (CRT).
Preferred Requirements
Experience: Multi-modality hospital experience and prior management experience.
