Nuclear Medicine Technologist

Schedule

This is a day shift position with a schedule of 5x8 hours, from 08:00 AM to 04:30 PM. Saturday shifts are included, as well as an on-call rotation every fourth week during weekends.

Job Description

The Nuclear Medicine Technologist will be responsible for performing imaging procedures and administering radiopharmaceuticals under the direction of a supervising Radiologist. This role involves maintaining records, operating equipment, and documenting procedures in compliance with safety and sterile techniques.

Responsibilities

  • Operate imaging equipment and related instrumentation.
  • Make appropriate imaging decisions regarding technique, positioning, and radiation protection.
  • Administer radiopharmaceuticals under medical supervision and document all relevant procedures.
  • Maintain awareness of potential adverse reactions and practice sterile technique to prevent cross contamination.
  • Label images properly for interpretation and maintain necessary records.
  • Perform exams in both acute care hospital and outpatient clinical settings.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
  • Bachelor's degree from an AMA-approved school in Nuclear Medicine.
  • ARRT (N) and/or NMTCB registered with current ODH licensure.
  • A minimum of 1 year of PET/CT experience or eligibility for advanced registry.
  • PET/CT advanced certification is preferred.
  • Current CPR certification from the American Heart Association.
