Summary Under the direction of the manager, is responsible for assisting the customers and radiologists, when applicable, within the reception area and department, as well as interacting with patients and improving customer service and satisfaction. Processes patient procedure requirements, required signatures, release of information, financial responsibilities, etc. Is a liaison between physicians, patients and coworkers. Responds to patients and their families and assists in the coordination of their service within the Imaging Department. Processes all documents / images entering the facility, sends images, hard copies, and electronic to the correct locations. Adheres to the PH Standards of Behavior. Education Must be a high school graduate or the equivalent with GED. Medical terminology course through Parkview is required within the 6 months of employment or documentation of successful completion of a similar course. Experience One year hospital experience preferred. Other Qualifications Must be able to demonstrate a working knowledge of general computer skills and applications. Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills. Demonstrate ability to multi-task and work independently using critical thinking skills. Must be able to cover call, work weekends and holidays, if applicable.
