Radiology Registered Nurse (RN) – La Jolla, CA

 

A healthcare organization is seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Radiology Registered Nurse (RN) to support patients undergoing diagnostic and imaging procedures. Responsibilities

  • Assess and monitor patient conditions before, during, and after diagnostic procedures

  • Perform patient triage and assist with clinical care coordination

  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed

  • Support patient preparation for imaging and diagnostic services

  • Monitor patient responses and recognize changes requiring intervention

  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation

  • Collaborate with physicians, technologists, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams

  • Educate patients and family members regarding procedures and care plans

  • Follow emergency protocols and patient safety standards

  • Promote a positive and compassionate patient experience throughout the care process

 

Qualifications

  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) license or eligibility for licensure

  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program

  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

  • Previous acute care, procedural, or radiology nursing experience preferred

  • Strong assessment and critical-thinking skills

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities

  • Experience with patient monitoring and venipuncture preferred
