RADIOLOGY SPECIALIST ASSISTANT \n\nInterventional Radiology \n\n100 Mile Radius Rule \n\nShift: 8am-4:30pm \n\nThe Radiology Specialist Assistant provides patient care services in accordance with approved delineation of privileges under the supervision of a physician. \n\nThis role delivers age-appropriate care across the lifespan and supports the continuum of care through clinical expertise, patient assessment, and collaboration with the healthcare team. \n\nKey Responsibilities: Provide medical services to patients within scope of practice and assigned privileges \n\nPerform patient assessments using age-specific growth and development principles Deliver safe, high-quality, and compassionate care \n\nAssist supervising physician with radiologic procedures and patient management Maintain patient flow and organize clinical workload effectively \n\nProvide guidance and direction to clinical staff involved in patient care \n\nRespond appropriately to emergency situations \n\nEnsure compliance with Medical Staff Bylaws, hospital policies, and regulatory standards \n\nMaintain confidentiality of protected health information (PHI) \n\nPerform fluoroscopic procedures, including barium studies (e.g., upper GI series, small bowel follow-through, and enemas). \n\nPerform joint injections under fluoroscopic or ultrasound guidance. \n\nConduct paracentesis and thoracentesis procedures, including patient preparation, imaging guidance, and post-procedure monitoring. \n\nPlace abscess drains using ultrasound or CT guidance, ensuring sterile technique and accurate positioning. \n\nPerform bone marrow biopsies, including site preparation and specimen collection. \n\nPerform biopsies with ultrasound and CT guidance for various tissues and organs, adhering to protocols for minimizing complications. \n\nPerform ultrasound-guided and stere
