Position Overview:

The primary objective of this role is to conduct a range of imaging procedures, such as CT scans and X-rays, at a technical level that does not necessitate constant supervision.

Essential Job Functions:
  • Provide technical support and patient care to assist physicians, nurses, and other staff in addressing the needs of patients throughout the facility.
  • Operate and maintain all imaging department equipment, including but not limited to X-Ray, CT, CR reader, and PACS.
  • Conduct all imaging exams in line with established policies, procedures, regulations, and laws, ensuring the physician on duty is informed of the results.
  • Perform basic clinical procedures under the guidance of the physician and/or nurse on duty.
  • Keep all necessary documentation, logs, charts, forms, and records in both paper and electronic formats.
  • Collect laboratory samples and conduct lab testing according to established policies and procedures, as well as COLA and CLIA regulations.
  • Ensure an adequate supply of all reagents and consumables for quality testing.
  • Carry out routine daily, weekly, monthly, and periodic maintenance and function checks for all imaging equipment following established protocols.
  • Execute Quality Control measures as defined by the laboratory.
  • Conduct Proficiency Testing and/or Split Sample analysis periodically as required by the facility.
  • Maintain records of all analytical activities for a minimum of two years.
  • Perform all Quality Assessment activities assigned to this role and document these for periodic review by the Laboratory Supervisor and/or Laboratory Director.
Other Job Functions:
  • Assist as an ER Technician when necessary.
  • Ensure an adequate supply of all reagents and consumables for quality testing.
  • Conduct routine maintenance and function checks for all imaging equipment as per established protocols.
  • Travel to various facility locations as required.
  • Participate in staff meetings or other company-sponsored or mandated gatherings as needed.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Basic Qualifications:
  • High School diploma or GED is required.
  • Graduation from an AMA-approved Radiology Technology program is required.
  • Associate’s Degree in Radiology is preferred.
  • Certification as a medical radiologic technologist as mandated by the state of practice is required.
  • Registered Technologist with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in radiography is required.
  • Registered Technologist with the ARRT in computed tomography is preferred.
  • CT certification must be obtained within 12 months of hire (specific to Pennsylvania market).
  • Current BLS certification through the American Heart Association is required.
  • 2+ years of experience in radiologic/imaging is preferred.
  • 1+ years of CT experience is preferred.
  • 1+ years of emergency room experience is preferred.
  • Proficiency with most X-ray/CT equipment, including manufacturer’s hardware/software and PACS.
  • Fluency in English, both written and oral communication, is required.
