    Job Summary and Responsibilities

    As our Radiologic Technologist (Rad Tech), you will be pivotal in producing diagnostic images that enable Radiologists to accurately diagnose and manage patient conditions.

    Each day, you will perform a variety of imaging examinations, including X-rays, ultrasound, diagnostic fluoroscopy, CT/CAT scans, and MRIs, while actively contributing to a positive patient experience through direct interaction.

    To excel, you must deeply understand diagnostic imaging's critical importance, encompassing expertise in workflow, patient positioning, and capturing precise results essential for timely and accurate diagnoses.

    • Transfers and positions patients. Measurement: Observation, Feedback.
    • Independently performs all diagnostic imaging procedures in accordance with department standards and in keeping with the orders of the referring physician. Measurement: Observation, Feedback, Departmental monitors.
    • Provides protection in accordance with prescribed safety procedures. Measurement: Observation, Feedback, Departmental monitors.
    • Assumes responsibility to send images to PACS and laser printing images as needed. Measurement: Observation, Feedback, Image accuracy, Image quality.
    • Interviews patients for pertinent medical history and obtains consents on patients prior to performing studies as required. Measurement: Observation, Feedback, Patient care documentation.
    • Uses sterile technique and prevents cross-contamination.

    Job Requirements

    Required

    • Minimum of five (5) years experience as a staff technologist in radiology with at least one year (1) experience in each of two specialty fields, or be the lead in radiology and/or the clinical instructor for theMoorpark College, School of RadiologicTechnology, or Mammography QCTechnologist.
    • Medical Radiographer: CA, upon hire
