What You’ll Do
  • Perform routine diagnostic radiological procedures/services as appropriate to the TO. 
  • Adhere to radiation safety policies and procedures; ensure proper positioning and technical adjustments. 
  • Determine special patient preparation needs and explain the process to patients. 
  • Process digital images, submit appropriate image series for radiologist reading per MTF protocol, and transfer scans to PACS for review. 
  • Perform system warm-ups, calibrations, and quality control tasks; recognize artifacts/equipment errors and report outlying values. 
  • Document procedures, arrival/departure/completed tests, and maintain required records per MTF policy. 
  • Support quality control assessment/approval prior to release of the patient; initiate repair call procedures for malfunctions as directed.
What You Need
Required
  • ARRT certification in the specialty identified in the TO 
  • AHA or ARC BLS Healthcare Provider certification 
  • 1 year of experience within the last 2 years as a sonographer in the specialty area identified in the TO 
  • Basic computer skills; effective verbal and written communication skills 
  • Ability to pass a Government background check/security clearance 
  • Ability to meet physical requirements (standing/walking; bending/lifting/carrying up to 50 lbs with assistance as needed)
