Radiology Tech/X-Ray Tech
Location: Southfield, MI
Duration: 13 Weeks
Shift: Day/Nights 
Schedule: 3 x 12 & 4 x 10 hour shifts available | Every 3rd Weekend Required 

Pay Details: 
Gross Weekly Pay: $2,547.03/Week
Stipend (Non-Taxable): $1,367.03/Week
W2 Hourly: $29.50/Hour

Job Summary:

  • Under the direction of a Radiologist, performs radiologic procedures for the evaluation of pathological conditions as ordered by a physician.
  • Performs related duties according to department protocols and exercises independent judgment in determining appropriate techniques, positioning, and safety practices.
Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Explains procedures to patients and prepares them for examination.
  • Reviews clinical data and obtains additional patient history as needed.
  • Prepares procedure rooms and maintains adequate supplies.
  • Positions patients, sets up equipment, and performs radiologic procedures to obtain diagnostic images.
  • May administer intravenous contrast media and monitor patients for adverse reactions.
  • Applies radiation safety principles, including ALARA techniques.
  • Prepares and maintains sterile equipment and follows infection control protocols.
  • Ensures patient safety, privacy, confidentiality, and comfort.
  • Completes all required documentation, logs, and patient records.
  • Assists in training and educating new hires and students as needed.
  • PACS: Resolves image exceptions and ensures high-quality image delivery and verification.
  • RIS: Completes study indexing, including study start, end, and finalization.
  • Reviews and confirms clinical protocols with the Radiologist prior to procedures.
  • Demonstrates excellence in teamwork, communication, and customer service standards (AIDET).
  • Completes documentation to support clinical and billing functions.
Education & Experience Required:
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum 2 years of hospital experience required.
  • Level I Or II Trauma experience required.
  • Unit: ER, Inpatient, and Outpatient
Certifications/Licensure Required:
  • ARRT (R)
  • BLS - AHA
