Title: Radiology Tech/X-Ray Tech
Location: Onsite - West Bloomfield, MI
Shift Hours • 7am - 3:30pm every 3rd weekend
Schedule Notes • Facility: Level III Trauma Center • Technology: Siemens and Carestream • Minimum Experience: 1 year • Certification: ARRT (R) - BLS (AHA) • Ideal Resource will have a well rounded background (general x-ray, c-arms, flow exams, etc) in ER and OR environments
Job Summary
Under general supervision, performs general diagnostic radiology and X-ray examinations while ensuring patient safety, image quality, and adherence to established imaging protocols. The ideal candidate will have a well-rounded background in general X-ray, C-arms, and fluoroscopic examinations, with experience in Emergency Room (ER) and Operating Room (OR) environments.
Key Responsibilities
Perform general diagnostic X-ray examinations according to established protocols.
Explain procedures to patients and appropriately prepare them for examinations.
Review clinical information and patient history to determine appropriate imaging procedures.
Operate radiographic equipment to obtain high-quality diagnostic images.
Perform imaging procedures in ER and OR environments, including C-arm and fluoroscopic examinations.
Position patients safely and accurately to obtain appropriate diagnostic images.
Apply radiation safety practices and ALARA principles to minimize patient and staff exposure.
Maintain imaging equipment, procedure rooms, and required supplies.
Collaborate with Radiologists, physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to support quality patient care.
Maintain accurate patient records and complete required imaging documentation.
Demonstrate strong communication, teamwork, professionalism, and customer service.
Qualifications
Required
High School Diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
Minimum of 1 year of relevant radiologic technology experience.
ARRT (R) certification/registration.
Current BLS certification through the American Heart Association (AHA).
Ability to maintain required continuing education hours.
Strong communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Well-rounded experience in general X-ray, C-arms, and fluoroscopic examinations.
Experience working in Emergency Room and Operating Room environments.
Experience in a Level III Trauma Centre.
Required Certification & Licensure
American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT-R)
BLS Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA)

Working Conditions
Position may be based in a hospital or ambulatory/mobile imaging setting. Exposure to radiation, high-voltage equipment, and infectious diseases is possible with appropriate safety precautions. Position may require assisting with patient transfers and moving equipment.
