Location: St. Joseph, MI (On-site)

Schedule: Nights, 10:30 PM – 7:00 AM (8-hour shifts) • No weekend rotation • No on-call

Hiring a Radiology Technologist for a busy hospital setting supporting routine diagnostic imaging plus portable X-ray, trauma, and surgical imaging needs. This Radiology Technologist role is ideal for an ARRT-certified X-ray Tech who works confidently overnight, follows physician orders precisely, and consistently produces high-quality images while maintaining excellent patient care and safety.

• Perform general diagnostic radiology and fluoroscopic procedures using standardized positioning and ALARA principles.
• Produce high-quality X-ray images of specified body areas per physician/radiologist orders.
• Support portable X-rays , trauma imaging , and surgery imaging workflows as needed.
• Verify patient identity and imaging orders; confirm clinical history is documented and available.
• Prepare patients for exams, explain procedures, and help reduce anxiety to obtain accurate results.
• Utilize radiation safety practices (lead shielding and appropriate safety factors) to minimize exposure.
• Prepare and assist with contrast administration by monitoring dosage, screening for potential allergies, and following department policies.
• Evaluate images for technical quality, adjust display parameters, and transmit images to PACS with proper identifiers.
• Support imaging equipment care and basic quality assurance; escalate equipment issues to service/leadership.
• Ensure equipment is present and accounted for at the start/end of each shift; participate in safety initiatives and required competencies.

• ARRT (Radiography) certification (Required)
• BLS certification (AHA or ARC) (Required)
• Associate’s degree or equivalent related experience (Required); Bachelor’s degree (Preferred)
• Experience in hospital imaging environments preferred (portable, trauma, OR support)
• Strong attention to detail for patient identification, order verification, and documentation accuracy
• Comfortable working independently on nights while following established protocols
• Familiarity with PACS and image quality review workflows
