    he Radiology Technologist Trainee Program is for those who are:

    • 6-8 months away from graduation

    • Can commit to a minimum of six shifts, every six weeks

    • Have an active BLS

    • In good standing in a JCERT certified program

    • Hold an active WA state Radiologic Technician license

    Program Compensation:

    • This is a per diem position, non-benefit eligible.

    Program costs:

    • MultiCare DOES NOT cover program costs, CPR certification, testing, or license fees.

    Employment:

    • If offered the position, you will be a per diem employee of MultiCare. 

    Requirement:

    • Two letters of recommendation will be required for applicants who have not completed clinical rotations with MultiCare Health system.

    Position Summary

    The Radiologic Technologist performs a full range of diagnostic imaging examinations in accordance with established departmental guidelines. This role utilizes fixed imaging equipment, portable radiography, and fluoroscopic systems to support, trauma imaging, operating room cases, and routine diagnostic exams. The Radiologic Technologist functions as a clinical role model and resource within the hospital, demonstrating the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team.

    Responsibilities:

    • Perform a broad range of diagnostic radiology exams using fixed, portable, and fluoroscopic imaging equipment
    • May support trauma imaging, operating room cases, as well as routine diagnostic studies
    • Ensure imaging exams are completed in accordance with established departmental policies and clinical guidelines
    • Serve as a clinical resource and role model, working effectively both independently and as part of the care team

    Requirements:

    • Graduate or eligible for graduation with an AA degree from accredited Imaging program or equivalent
    • Eligible to take ARRT registry or enrolled in an ARRT accredited program. Must obtain ARRT RT(R) within 12 months of hire.
    • Washington State license as X-Ray Technician (XT license) required
    • BLS Certification

    Pay and Benefit Expectations

    We provide a comprehensive benefits package, including competitive salary, medical, dental and retirement benefits and paid time off. As required by various pay transparency laws, we share a competitive range of compensation for candidates hired into each position. The pay scale is $30.31 - $30.31 USD. However, pay is influenced by factors specific to applicants, including but not limited to: skill set, level of experience, and certification(s) and/or education. If this position is associated with a union contract, pay will be reflective of the appropriate step on the pay scale to which the applicant’s years of experience align.
