Pay Rate: $48.00 - $51.00 Per hour (Based on Experience)

 

Location:  Sibley Memorial Hospital

 

Schedule: Monday – Friday 7:30am – 4pm or PRN shifts available

Responsibilities:

The Radiologic Technologist performs general diagnostic radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures in accordance with physician orders and departmental protocols. This role supports patient care across the main Radiology Department, Emergency Department, and Operating Room, while ensuring accurate documentation and efficient patient flow.

  • Perform general radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures in accordance with established protocols
  • Operate and safely transport imaging equipment, including portable units and C-arms, across Radiology, ED, and OR settings
  • Verify patient identity and imaging orders prior to procedures
  • Prepare patients for exams, explain procedures, and ensure comfort and privacy
  • Administer contrast media (IV, oral, or rectal) as appropriate
  • Monitor patient condition and respond to emergencies, including CPR/first aid as needed
  • Maintain emergency equipment, supplies, and medications per policy
  • Collect patient history and ensure accurate, complete documentation in Epic and PACS
  • Review images for quality, positioning, and completeness; resolve PACS exceptions as needed
  • Follow radiation safety standards and maintain proper use of protective equipment
  • Maintain equipment, exam room cleanliness, and supply levels; report malfunctions
  • Support department workflow, including low census coverage, on-call, weekends/holidays, and staff training/orientation
Qualifications:
  • Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program
  • ARRT certification required
  • Current BLS/CPR certification required
  • Prior hospital radiology experience preferred
  • Experience with Epic and PACS systems preferred
  • Ability to maneuver portable imaging equipment (up to 1,000 lbs motorized units and 500 lbs non-motorized C-arms)
