Position Title: Radiology Technologist
FLSA Status: Exempt (Full-Time); Non-Exempt (Part-Time and Call-In) Reports To: Director of Clinical Support
POSITION SUMMARY:
Produces x-ray images by performing x-ray procedures requested by the physician using radiology equipment. Follows established radiologic requirements and regulations to ensure patient care and safety.
Maintains records and files and assists with other related duties.
Wage Range: $30.22 - $45.34/hour
The actual wage is dependent on the applicants relevant experience and qualifications for this position. The wage range for this position may be subject to change in the future depending on a variety of factors such as market conditions, business needs, legal developments, and other appropriate factors.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Certification/Licensure: • Valid State of Hawaii driver's license
STANDARD FOR PATIENT CARE POSITIONS:
• Current State of Hawaii Radiographer licensure • Registration by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) • Current BLS certification
Education: • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required • Completion of a formal radiologic training program
Skills/Experience: • Ability to safely and effectively manage patients' mobility
PREferred QUALIFICATIONS:
Skills/Experience: • At least two (2) years recent experience as an X-Ray Technician in an acute care setting

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Prepare examination room, equipment, and instruments per patient needs.
Position patients correctly for radiological procedures.
Operate x-ray machines according to established procedures to ensure patient safety and comfort.
Takes x-ray images and processes quality x-rays (i.e. clearly identified x-rays, correct x-rays, clear x-rays). Review and evaluate images to determine quality and if they need to be redone.
Performs the right diagnostic procedure.
Document patient care records in accordance with outlined policies and procedures.
Maintains daily log of treatments.
Respects patients rights, preferences and privacy. Maintains confidentiality.
Answer patient questions as they relate to the procedure.
Understands the diversity of patients needs, and demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the patient.
Uses sound judgment and ensures patient safety.
Follows and adheres to all organizational and departmental policies and guidelines, code of conduct, and REHAB employee handbook.
Performs other duties as assigned.
