Job Summary and Qualifications
Radiology Technologist
Our imaging teams are a committed caring group of professionals. We are currently seeking a Florida-licensed Radiology Technologist on a full-time basis. You will take radiographs x-rays of patients which will assist physicians in diagnosis and treatment and perform procedures accurately and in a careful compassionate and respectful manner.
Your tasks and responsibilities as a Radiology Technologist X-Ray Tech include but are not limited to
Possess sound and thorough knowledge of all diagnostic radiographic procedures and related equipment including surgical portable trauma general and fluoroscopic radiographic procedures
Obtain high-quality radiographic and fluoroscopic images assuring only optimal images are submitted for interpretation utilizing appropriate lead markers as well as date and time stickers where indicated
Select proper and accurate technical factors and techniques to accommodate patient and assist in administration of contrast media when indicated
Prepare transfer and position patients as needed ensuring modesty safely utilizing auxiliary equipment andor devices as appropriate
Document all pertinent clinical information prior to exam obtain informed consent and complete all required fields within MEDITECH accurately and on time
Maintain proactive and effective communication with patient and other caregiver colleagues to include the radiologist
Check the operation of the equipment maintain cleanliness of tableequipment to prevent cross-contamination of contagious diseases and keep room stocked with linens and necessary supplies
Qualifications
Completion of a 24-month Radiologic Technology program at an AMA-approved school
Valid ARRT certification
Clearactive Florida Department of Health licensure CRT
Current certification in Basic Life Support BLS
Ability to perform work which requires frequent standing bending reaching squatting kneeling moving and lifting of patients andor equipment up to 50 lbs.
