Reporting to the Chief Technologist/Manager, the Radiology Technologist is responsible for performing radiographic examinations according to high quality standards.
Primary Responsibilities:
Prepare patients for and conduct examination.
Operate conventional radiology equipment to obtain routine radiographs of designated portions of body as observed by the Radiology Group
Position patients to obtain desired radiographic results.
Ensure that each patient has been told what the exam entails.
Place protective shield over patients
Set up equipment, adjust and operate controls.
Send radiographs to Radiology Group to be read by Radiologist.
Review schedule- Make sure all the history sheets are printed, document date of last Covid Vaccine
Answer the phone and navigate how to help the caller - schedule mammograms for callers- call "no Show" patients.
When patient arrive-get paperwork ready and begin the case
Enter mammogram order into BMC EPIC -understand how to register patients.

Clean rooms
Call patients into exam rooms-give instructions
Quality Assurance
Demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriately to the age group of adults, geriatric, and pediatric patients regularly served.
Maintain equipment.
Maintain a safe patient care environment.
Return positions aids and equipment to proper location.
Report unusual incidents or circumstances, hazards, and patient conditions to supervisor.
Complete BMC Positioning evaluation annually
Complete quality control equipment competency testing on a quarterly basis.
Department Communication and Support
Obtain readings from Radiologist and report to referring physician.
Other duties and/or other locations as assigned
