What We’re Looking For:
- ARRT (R) certification in Radiography required (new grads within 6 months of hire)
- Prior acute care experience preferred
- Strong communication skills and attention to detail
What We're Looking For:
- Education: Graduate of ARRT-approved Radiography Program. Certification required within 6 months of hire post-graduation from an accredited Radiology Program, required. 2 Year / Associate Degree, preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of one year experience in diagnostic radiology, preferred.
- Licensure/Certification: ARRT certification in Radiography - RT(R), required. Applicable state licensure as required, required. Post-graduates from an accredited Radiology Program with be required to pass their ARRT registry within 6 months of completing program, required.
- Additional Skills/Requirements (required):
- Applies principles of ALARA to minimize radiation exposure to patient, self, and others.
- Demonstrates current knowledge of federal and state radiation safety laws.
- Properly utilizes personnel monitoring devices.
- Ensures proper equipment performance and schedules maintenance for emergent needs.
- Properly operates radiographic and fluoroscopic equipment.
- Independently performs radiographic and non-interpretive fluoroscopic procedures, including intraoperative and mobile procedures, as prescribed by a licensed practitioner.
- Assists a licensed practitioner in the performance of radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures, including all intraoperative and mobile procedures including the following: ERCP’s, bronchoscopy, mini-c-arms, post reductions.
- Mobile imaging including lines and pacers and neonates.
What You'll Do:
The Radiologic Technologist II works independently and/or assists physicians/APCs in the performance of diagnostic and / or therapeutic procedures by preparing the patient and operating the x-ray equipment in order to obtain diagnostic images in the acute setting. The technologist is responsible for inpatient & outpatient procedures, the emergency room, fluoroscopy, portables, and the operating rooms.
