Position and prepare patients for radiologic procedures as prescribed by physicians
Operate imaging equipment and adjust technical factors to produce diagnostic-quality images
Provide and monitor radiation protection for patients and staff during procedures
Administer contrast media orally or rectally under physician supervision
Process and review images, ensuring diagnostic accuracy
Transport patients safely to and from procedure areas as needed
Maintain equipment cleanliness and readiness between exams
Answer phones, assist with scheduling, and perform related administrative duties
Uphold Island Health’s standards for professionalism, confidentiality, and patient care
High school diploma or equivalent
Completion of an AMA-accredited Radiologic Technology program
ARRT certification in Radiography (R)
Washington State certification as a Radiologic Technologist (required)
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Excellent communication skills and a patient-centered approach
