About Beacon Kalamazoo
Beacon Kalamazoo provides 24/7 emergency care and a Level II Trauma Center. We deliver care for serious life-threatening injuries/illnesses, and your everyday health needs, including labor and delivery. We offer specialty care for heart/vascular disease, lung and sleep disorders, mental health conditions, and women's health. We offer a wide range of outpatient services, including diagnostic imaging, lab tests, respiratory therapy and rehabilitation therapy services.
What You'll Do
As a Radiologic Technologist, you'll report to the Director or Manager. You will play a vital role in performing high-quality imaging procedures to assist in accurate diagnosis and treatment. The position collaborates with other professional, clinical and ancillary staff in providing compassionate and quality care to patients.
Radiologic Technologist Job Responsibilities
Perform radiology procedures following physician orders and department protocols.
Ensure image quality and patient safety through skilled positioning and correct technical settings.
Manage patient flow and scheduling for optimal efficiency.
Maintain imaging equipment and troubleshoot operational issues.
Support the radiology team, assist in training new staff, and participate in on-call coverage.
Ensure all images and records are properly maintained in PACS and RIS systems.
What You Bring
You bring a high level of knowledge and competency in performing imaging procedures. As a radiologic technologist/CT technologist, your advanced analytical skills are necessary to solve complex problems and make decisions related to patient care. You demonstrate the interpersonal skills necessary to establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff, patients, visitors, physicians and others. You demonstrate the ability to communicate, both verbally and in writing, in a clear and concise manner. As a radiologic technologist/CT technologist, you have an understanding of the need to be responsive and reasonably adaptable for scheduling purposes, when necessary, due to extenuating circumstances in support of co-workers and department functions.
Required Qualifications
Associate's Degree or Professional Training in Radiologic Technology required.
ARRT or ARRT-eligible; State License required.
CPR Certification required.
Dual-modality certification preferred.
1-2 years of relevant experience preferred.
Strong knowledge of radiation safety, positioning, and imaging techniques.
