Occupational Summary: - Performs a variety of technical tasks involved in the operating of radiographic equipment and making radiographs of designated portions of the body.
- Explain x-ray procedures to patients.
- Position patients for each anatomical view using immobilization and protective equipment as necessary.
- Accurately process images for optimal quality. Match with appropriate paperwork for interpretation.
- Accurately identify patients and procedures to be done using PCA standards and protocol in regards to patient identification.
- Demonstrate acceptable film quality standards by critiquing positioning, technical factors and collimation.
- Understand and uses RIS/PACS systems. Adjust equipment for proper radiographic exposure technique in accordance with radiation safety guidelines
