Employment Type: Full Time , Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm

 

 Position Overview

As a Radiology Technologist at Novant Health, you will:

  • Prepare patients and operate x-ray equipment to obtain diagnostic images.
  • Assist physicians in performing diagnostic and/or therapeutic procedures.
  • Ensure patient safety by adhering to radiation safety protocols and infection control standards.
  • Provide exceptional patient care, demonstrating empathy and professionalism.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality healthcare services.

 

Skills & Abilities:

  • Thorough knowledge of radiographic equipment and accessories.
  • Analytical ability and basic computer skills.
  • Ability to modify care according to patient age-specific needs.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Capable of functioning independently in diagnostic rooms.
  • Working knowledge of various types of x-ray equipment.
  • Adaptability to various situations and procedures.

What We're Looking For:
  • Education: High School or GED, required. Graduate of an accredited Radiology program or a certified/ accredited/JCERT hospitalbased program and credentialed by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT), required.
  • Experience:Two years experience in diagnostic radiology, required.
  • Licensure/Certification: ARRT, required.
  • Additional Skills Required: Thorough knowledge of radiographic equipment and accessories. Analytical ability and basic computer skills. Has knowledge and skills necessary to modify care according to patient(s) age. Has the ability to interpret information to identify each patient’s requirements for care relative to his/her age specific needs. Good communication skills, capable of functioning alone in diagnostic rooms, working knowledge of various types of x-ray equipment, able to adapt to various situations and procedures.
