General Summary of Position Performs diagnostic medical radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures through interpretation. Performs EKGs phlebotomy IV insertions autologous and therapeutic donations and obtains vital signs.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
Contributes to the achievement of established department goals and objectives and adheres to department policies procedures quality standards and safety standards. Complies with governmental and accreditation regulations.
Develops film including evaluating film for technical quality.
Maintains orderliness and cleanliness of work areas. Reports any unsafe or potentially unsafe conditions. Maintains X-ray and other equipment in efficient operating order. Performs preventative maintenance on a regularly scheduled basis.
Obtains patient history answers patient questions and explains procedures.
Obtains vital signs as indicated along with required documentation.
Participates in multidisciplinary quality and service improvement teams.
Performs radiographic examinations. May assist a licensed practitioner with fluoroscopic specialized interventional procedures. May perform non-interpretive fluoroscopic procedures as appropriate and consistent with applicable state statutes.
Prepares as required by the profession and the department such written documentation as evaluation results individualized treatment plans and progress reports. Access manipulate store and Create CD's from PACS.
Requests and orders supplies as necessary to keep materials on hand at all times. Checks drug supplies and informs the appropriate person of what needs to be re-stocked.
Transports patients to radiographic room as needed. Prepares and maintains room.
Minimal Qualifications Education
Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology required and
Associate's degree preferred
Experience
Prior work experience not required required
Licenses and Certifications
ARRT Radiology Technology license in the State of Maryland required
Knowledge Skills and Abilities
Verbal and written communication skills.
Basic computer skills preferred.
This position has a hiring range of : USD $29.73 - USD $53.49 /Hr.
