This role performs diagnostic imaging examinations according to physician orders using advanced imaging equipment. The Radiology Technologist applies clinical judgment to ensure proper positioning, radiation dose calibration, and patient care, producing high-quality images while maintaining strict adherence to
ALARA (As Low As Reasonably Achievable) radiation safety standards.
Various shifts and scheduling options are available.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic radiographic imaging procedures
- Ensure proper patient positioning and technique selection
- Apply ALARA principles to minimize radiation exposure
- Operate and maintain imaging equipment
- Provide compassionate, patient-centered care
- Accurately document procedures and patient information
- Maintain compliance with state, federal, and accreditation standards
- Collaborate with radiologists and interdisciplinary care teams
Required Qualifications
- Education meeting certification/licensure requirements
- Oregon Radiographer License OR Oregon Radiographer Temporary License (Upon Hire)
- ARRT Certification within 6 months of hire
- BLS Certification – American Heart Association (Upon Hire)
- New graduates must obtain permanent OBMI license within 6 months of hire
