Performs a variety of imaging procedures and is responsible for patient
safety protocols. Functions as the first line interface with patients in
the successful accomplishment of their imaging needs. Participates in
Performance Improvement activities.
- **Essential Duties**\
Determines the most suitable anatomical posture and position for
proper examination of patient and shields patient accordingly.
Performs exam with proper technical factors for the part being
examined.
- Assesses patients understanding of process and informed consent for
procedures. Assesses, evaluates and informs physician of changes in
patients condition during exam. Selects appropriate equipment to use
for procedure.
- Responsible for safe handling of equipment
- Takes after hours call according to monthly schedule.
- Completes all work in scheduled shift prior to clocking out and
leaving, including checking with nursing stations.
- Aware of departmental policies and procedures annually to better
accomplish goals and objectives of the Department of Radiology.
- Maintains a positive, cooperative, and professional relationship and
rapport with coworkers, patients, family members, and hospital
personnel.
- Employees are required to demonstrate competency for Cerner and
Timecards and participate in ongoing training.
- Position requires access to highly confidential information.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Must be ARRT Registered with current licensure.\
\
Must train in CT and obtain ARRT certification in Computed
Tomography within 18 months of hire date.
