Functions as the first line interface with patients in the successful accomplishment of their imaging needs. Participates in Performance Improvement activities. - **Essential Duties**\ Determines the most suitable anatomical posture and position for proper examination of patient and shields patient accordingly. Performs exam with proper technical factors for the part being examined. - Assesses patients understanding of process and informed consent for procedures. Assesses, evaluates and informs physician of changes in patients condition during exam. Selects appropriate equipment to use for procedure. - Responsible for safe handling of equipment - Takes after hours call according to monthly schedule. - Completes all work in scheduled shift prior to clocking out and leaving, including checking with nursing stations. - Aware of departmental policies and procedures annually to better accomplish goals and objectives of the Department of Radiology. - Maintains a positive, cooperative, and professional relationship and rapport with coworkers, patients, family members, and hospital personnel. - Employees are required to demonstrate competency for Cerner and Timecards and participate in ongoing training. - Position requires access to highly confidential information. - Performs other duties as assigned.
