ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Perform Imaging Procedures: Operate imaging equipment to produce high-quality diagnostic images of patients internal structures. Patient Interaction: Explain procedures to patients, ensuring they understand the process and feel comfortable during the imaging process. Positioning: Accurately position patients and equipment to obtain the best possible images while minimizing radiation exposure. Equipment Maintenance: Regularly check and maintain imaging equipment to ensure it is functioning correctly and safely. Collaboration: Work closely with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to interpret images and provide necessary information for diagnosis and treatment.
EXPERIENCE/KNOWLEDGE:
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES REQUIRED:
Knowledge of modern radiologic equipment and techniques; regional and gross anatomy of the human body; standardized radiologic clinical procedures; thorough knowledge of the hazards of radiologic materials and the safety precautions required; the operation and care of modern radiologic equipment; and the ordering and storing of supplies.
Ability to communicate effectively at a level required for successful job performance; administer emergency aid for shock; prepare solution used in processing x-ray film and process film; keep simple records, file film correctly, and compile reports; follow directions; analyze situations accurately and take effective action; establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with others
Required Skills and Qualifications
Education: Must be a graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
Certification: Certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) is typically required, along with any state-specific licensure.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in operating complex imaging equipment and understanding imaging techniques.
Communication Skills: Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with patients and healthcare team members.
Attention to Detail: Ability to ensure accuracy in imaging and patient care procedures.

ENVIRONMENTAL/WORKING CONDITIONS:
Normal busy office environment with much telephone work. For the majority of our positions this would be a climate controlled office environment during normal business hours. Occasional evening and/or weekend work.
