Radiology Technologist – San Diego County Detention Facilities (FT Float)
Correctional Healthcare Partners (CHP Health) | San Diego, CA

Status: Full-Time, Non-Exempt
Pay: $38.00–$50.00/hour, DOE

About Correctional Healthcare Partners:

Correctional Healthcare Partners (CHP Health) is a provider-led company dedicated to providing healthcare services to the incarcerated, and we're growing. We exist because people in correctional facilities still deserve real healthcare. We show up, own the outcome, and get the work right. Whether you've spent your career in correctional care or you're excited to try something new, you'll join passionate clinicians who lead the way we practice, backed by a leadership team that supports the mission. We deliver medical, mental health, and dental care across correctional facilities in California and Washington.

The Opportunity:

CHP Health is hiring a Radiology Technologist to provide diagnostic imaging — including annual TB screening — across multiple San Diego County detention facilities: San Diego Central Jail (SDCJ), George Bailey Detention Facility (GBDF), Rock Mountain Detention Facility (RMDF), and South Bay Detention Facility (SBDF).

This is a multi-site float role: you'll rotate between facilities on a set weekly schedule (weekend coverage included) under the direction of the Radiology Manager, adapting to each site's security procedures and workflows while keeping imaging services on track with County contract requirements.

What You'll Do

Perform and document radiological testing (including annual TB screening) at each assigned facility, manage the radiology schedule across sites, maintain equipment and supplies, keep records HIPAA-compliant in the EHR, and work closely with each facility's HSA, DON, and site leadership to keep imaging services running smoothly and in compliance with state, accreditation, and County contract standards.

Required Qualifications

  • Current, unrestricted CRT license (CDPH-RHB)
  • Valid CPR/BLS card
  • 1+ year of clinical experience in a healthcare setting
  • Valid CA driver's license, current auto insurance, reliable transportation — regular travel between facilities required
  • Ability to obtain and maintain security clearance at all assigned San Diego County Sheriff's Office facilities
  • Ability to exert up to 50 lbs. of force; stand/walk as needed; regular driving between sites

Preferred Qualifications

  • ARRT registration
  • Correctional healthcare experience

Benefits:

CHP offers a competitive total rewards package designed for the people who do this work for a career, including:

  • Medical, dental, and vision coverage with multiple plan options
  • Employer-paid life and disability insurance
  • 401(k) with company match
  • Paid time off, paid holidays, and paid sick leave
  • Continuing education and professional development support, including license renewal and CME/CEU reimbursement where applicable
  • Malpractice coverage for clinical roles
  • Employee Assistance Program

Mileage for required inter-facility travel is reimbursed per company policy and California law.
